Hair loss is something that most people will think about at some point in their lives. There are many different types of hair loss; and different factors that can help to reduce and even stop hair loss.

At Harley Street Hair Clinics we are experts in hair loss and effective treatments including FUE hair transplants. One of the most important factors in trying to stop or prevent hair loss is finding the cause. Some types of hair loss are easy to treat and others are not so much.

If you are experiencing hair loss and are not sure on what is causing it, we advise you contact us for a free consultation. Once we have diagnosed your hair loss condition you will then be able to determine what to do to stop hair loss.

Fix your diet

Your diet plays a big part in the health of your hair; a balanced and healthy diet with the right mix of nutrients can help keep both your hair and hair follicles healthy. This can in turn help to prevent hair loss.

Avoid heat

Many of us use heat products, such as hair dryers and straighteners, to style our hair on a daily basis. The heat produced from the styles can damage the hair, and this can lead to hair loss. It is recommended to avoid heat styles when possible, such as leaving your hair to dry naturally over night.

Reduce stress

Stress is proven to cause hair loss; although the hair loss is usually temporary and the hair will resume its normal growth process once the stress has stopped, it is still important to avoid stress.

Try supplements

There are some hair loss supplements and vitamins that can help to keep you hair healthy and strong and prolong hair loss.

Will this stop me from losing my hair?

Hair loss can be caused by different factors, in some cases hair loss can be temporary and normal hair growth will resume. However in some cases such as male pattern baldness hair loss is controlled by your genes and hormones and this cannot be stopped.

Following the advice above can help you to prevent hair loss and keep your hair and scalp healthy.
