Sometimes it can be tricky to find the correct answer to your question, today we’ve put together a selection of popular questions that you might have about your hair transplant procedure.
Hair loss can affect everyone at some point in his or her life. Our FUE hair transplant treatment is more popular with men, but this doesn’t mean it can’t help women who are suffering with hair loss.
If you’re a woman suffering with significant hair loss our treatment might be able to help. During a consultation with one of our hair loss specialists we will be able to look into the cause of your hair loss, and let you know if a FUE hair transplant would be beneficial to you.
Once you’ve had your hair transplant it is normal for your hair to shed. You might notice some hair loss from the transplanted areas a few weeks after your treatment.
This is a normal part of the hair transplant process and is nothing to worry about. After your hair has had an initial shedding it will grow back strong and healthy and remain in place.
When it comes to age, you are more likely to be too young for a hair transplant than too old. We get a lot of enquiries from young men who believe they need a hair transplant and that it is best to have one when they are young. This isn’t always the case.
Each individual is different but we believe it is best to wait until you’re a little older to get your hair transplant, when you are young hair loss and hair growth pattern can be irregular and the hair loss can worsen, meaning you could need more than one procedure. As long as you are in good health and are suitable for a hair transplant it is unlikely you would be too old.
Yes, at the Harley Street Hair Clinic we use the most skilful doctors to ensure your hair transplant looks as natural as possible. When we transplant your donor hair into the recipient area we place each graft at an angle that mimics natural hair growth.
As the hair we transplant is from your head once it starts to grow it will blend in naturally with the rest of your hair and will be almost unidentifiable.
Leaving the clinic with a full head of hair straight away would be an absolute dream. Sadly the revolutionary FUE hair transplant procedure still requires a little bit of time and you’ll need to be patient.
Once the hair has been transplanted you will need to allow time for the follicles to grow, this will be just like waiting for your normal hair to grow. You will gradually notice a change in your hair growing and after 3-6 months you’ll see your new, full head of hair.
