How to deal with hair loss

Hair loss can be quite a tough time for most people, sometimes you’re not sure if it’s normal or if it’s something you should worry about, and it can really knock your self-confidence. Today we’re going to help you with a few tips on how you can deal with your hair loss and when is a good time to tackle it head on.

Am I too young to lose my hair?

People can lose their hair from as young at 16, and when this happens people tend to panic. It is really important to remember that as you get older your hairline will change and this is the natural growth process. When you begin to lose your hair at a young age it isn’t something you should worry about.

As you age it is normal to notice your hairline changing, similar to the rest of your body and your hairline can begin to mature and become slightly higher. This isn’t something you need to worry about and it doesn’t mean you’ll be losing your hair overnight.

The most obvious change is that your juvenile hairline, which has slightly rounded edges, becomes slightly higher up and less defined. This is different to a receding hairline where your hairline becomes much higher up and less defined. A receding hairline is one of the first stages of hair loss, whereas a maturing hairline is simply a stage of growing up.

    Is my hair loss normal?

Hair loss isn’t always something you have to worry about, in most cases hair loss is completely normal. Hair loss can happen for a number of different reasons from stress to hormones. In some cases, your hair loss can be perfectly normal and it won’t be permanent. Stress related hair loss can result in you losing your hair around three months after a stressful event, however, once the stress has gone your hair can start to grow back.

Other types of hair loss such as male pattern baldness won’t grow back. Male pattern baldness is, however, completely normal, and it isn’t something you should worry about. Hair loss is nothing to worry about, it is a natural part of life and it will not harm you. If, however, you start feeling as if your hair loss is hurting your confidence then you should look into doing something about it.
