At the Harley Street Clinic, we only offer revolutionary procedures, such as FUE hair transplantation and our cosmetic treatments are no different. We are now offering Profhilo, an injectable, skin remodelling treatment.
Profhilo is a treatment that works to promote radiance and hydration as well as correcting wrinkled skin that is starting to sag, it is different to any other injectable on the market. Profhilo is not a dermal filler.
What is Profhilo treatment?
Profhilo is an injectable anti-ageing skin remodelling treatment that contains Hyaluronic Acid. Profhilo improves skin quality and treats skin laxity. Profhilo works in an extraordinary way in which it hydrates and acts like scaffolding within the skin, but, it also triggers bio remodeling within the tissues – this smooths, tightens and gives the skin an inner glow. Although hyaluronic acid is best known as a filler which is used to give volume to areas such as the lips or to contour areas of the face Profhilo differs to usual fillers.
How is Profhilo different to fillers?
Profhilo contains one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acids available for an aesthetic treatment and although hyaluronic acid is best known as a ‘filler’ which is usually used to give volume or contour areas of the face, Profhilo differs.
Profhilo acts as a high performance hydrator, not a filler. The gel like consistency circulates smoothly and evenly without forming any lumps, a risk you can have with fillers. The structure of Profhilo allows it to move over an extended area to boost hydration and smooth the skin.
Where can I have Profhilo?
Our highly trained and experienced doctor, Dr Andre Brittain Dissont can treat both the face and neck where signs of ageing can be most visible.
Where is Profhilo injected?
Profhilo follows a technique where 10 injections are administered in total, five on each side of the face. This technique allows the hyaluronic acid to focus on areas where the skin appears most relaced and aged.
Profhilo is injected into the following areas on both sides of the face; cheek bones, nasal base, tragus, chin and the jawline.
Every face is unique, and the location of these points can vary slightly. Our trained experts will base where exactly to inject based on your face’s structure, this ensures, each patient gets the best possible results.
Is Profhilo safe?
Although Profhilo is a full face injectable treatment, it is one of the safest available as the placement of the injectables avoids large vessels and nerves.
Side effects are uncommon but can include bruising, swelling, allergic reactions and nerve damage.
How many Profhilo treatments are needed to see results?
You will see noticeable improvements in skin tone, hydration and firmness immediately after your treatment. Over the next four weeks, you will see lines minimised and whilst the treatment is working to boost elastin and collagen production, the skin will become plumper, smoother and firmer.
For the best results, two treatments of Profhilo is optimal. Our pricing structure includes both treatments, which are advised to be four weeks apart.
