At The Harley Street Hair Clinic, we’re well known for our revolutionary FUE hair transplant procedure, a treatment that has become increasingly popular over the last few years. However, we’ve recently seen a shift in enquiries about our latest revolutionary procedure, Advanced Tricho Pigmentation.
We get asked a lot of questions about the procedure and are often asked about the aftercare procedure. Today we’re going to talk you through the treatment as well as a detailed aftercare guide so that you know exactly what to expect from your treatment.
What is advanced tricho pigmentation?
Advanced tricho pigmentation (ATP) is a revolutionary treatment that is offered exclusively at the Harley Street Hair Clinic. Our treatment works to replicate the appearance of natural looking hair on both the scalp and eyebrow area.
ATP is an advanced pigment delivery system and works in a similar way to a tattoo, natural pigments are applied to the dermal layer of the skin where you want to replicate the appearance hair. Our system was designed from the ground up to replicate the appearance of delicate hair strokes, unlike other medical tattoo procedures that have been adapted for the purpose of tattooing hair.
Our team of experts work with the advanced system to replicate the appearance of natural looking hair follicles on the scalp and natural hair strokes on the brow area. Once the tiny amount of pigment is applied you will begin to see realistic results that replicate natural looking hair.
Who does advanced tricho pigmentation work for?
Our advanced tricho pigmentation treatment is great for those who are looking for either a hair restoration treatment or those who are looking for eyebrow restoration treatment. We believe the best candidates for ATP are those with little to no hair who are not suitable for a hair transplant. The treatment can, however, also be used for those with a much fuller head of hair but want to build up the appearance of fullness.
When it comes to advanced tricho pigmentation for the brow area we find the best patients are those who have some brow hair and want us to simply fill in any gaps and work to create a fuller and more defined brow. Our treatment can also be used to complete a full eyebrow for those who have little to no hair, we also use ATP to help blend in any scarring some people might have in the eyebrow area.
What is the aftercare like?
We often get asked about the aftercare for our advanced tricho pigmentation with many clients asking if we have an aftercare guide. One of the great things about our treatment is you will have minimal recovery time and the aftercare is straight forward and simple and you’ll still leave with fantastic results.
For advanced tricho pigmentation on the brow area, we recommend that you do not apply any makeup directly to your new brows for around three days if you do get some makeup in the brow area simply use a damp cotton bud to remove this. It is advised to only wash your brows with warm water for the first seven days after this you can return to your usual skincare routine.
Aftercare for the scalp is slightly stricter. It is advised that you do not wash your head for the first two days following your treatment. You should avoid any unnecessary sweating to the scalp for around seven days post treatment this includes going to; they gym, sauna, beach, or any other place that might cause you to sweat.
The aftercare instructions for each person will differ slightly depending on individual characteristics and your treatment. Some of our patients will need a scalp moisturiser depending on your skin type, to help healing and recovery. Before you leave the clinic we will brief you on a fully personalised aftercare guide that will include any medication, if needed, as well as a list of recommended products.
